Position Description

Our Melbourne office has a position available for an experienced Information Systems Analyst with excellent SharePoint and communication skills (English speaking, reading and writing).

The ideal candidate would be experienced in delivering high quality solutions with a proven technical background, strong analytical skills, with the business intelligence in delivering enterprise SharePoint solutions utilising industry methodologies such as Agile and SCRUM.

This role requires a person with a flair for customer satisfaction and creative thinking on designing/implementing enterprise solutions which involves web services, enterprise portals, business applications/systems.

Responsibilities

To help deliver AVTech’s strategy the successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Reporting to the Director, Services in Australia;
  • Consult, architect, design and deploy enterprise solutions, such as:
    • Business Intelligence;
    • Customised business tools and applications;
    • Customised Portal systems;
    • Web services (front-end and back-end).
  • Lead the technical delivery team during the delivery of consulting and projects;
  • Provide Pre-Sales support to BDMs
  • Provide support in qualifying/due diligence process, validating the solution before and after contract signature;Creating and designing frontend and backend applications;
  • Supporting exiting database systems;
  • Preparing and maintaining application documentations standards;
  • Modifying and troubleshooting applications;
  • Travelling to and from customer sites when required;
  • Communicating with third parties when required.

    • Experience in design and delivery of Information Management solutions;

    • Project management capabilities;
    • Knowledge of web application and object oriented development;
    • An understanding of the Agile and SCRUM software development methodology;
    • Knowledge of data modelling, process flow modelling and sequence diagramming;
    • A commitment to delivering quality software development in line with AVTech’s software development standards.

     
  • Technical Experience Areas Are
    • 2-4 year's SharePoint 2007-2010;
    • Strong experience in SharePoint 2007-2010 Master Pages, Custom Web Parts, Custom Lists, etc;
    • Strong experience in C#/VB.Net/ASP.Net 2.0-4.0 development;
    • HTML/CSS;
    • JavaScript, JQuery, AJAX, JSON;
    • MS-SQL 2000 – 2008.

     
  • Qualifications
    • Candidates with a Bachelor degree in Computer Science or a related discipline;
    • Other known industry qualifications and certifications would be an advantage;
    • Microsoft Certification in the key software development technologies.
